He is the I am

Sometimes a song simply says something in a way that a mere narrative can never accomplish.  While doing my most recent Bible study, I was considering all the things that God is from man’s perspective and what He is by His own declaration.  I think you’ll agree that He is the I Am.

Here are the lyrics to “He Is” by Aaron Jeoffrey and the link to listen to it:

and when time is no more
He is, HE IS!

And here are the lyrics by Mark Schultz for “I Am” and the link to listen to it:

I am the maker of the Heavens
I am the bright and morning star
I am the breath of all Creation
Who always was
And is to come

I am the One who walked on water
I am the One who calmed the seas
I am the miracles and wonders
So come and see
And follow me
You will know

[Chorus:]
I am the fount of living water
The risen Son of man
The healer of the broken
And when you cry
I am your savior and redeemer
Who bore the sins of man
The author and perfecter
Beginning and the end
I am

I am the spirit deep inside you
I am the word upon your heart
I am the One who even knew you
Before your birth
Before you were

[Chorus]

Before the Earth (I am)
The universe (I am)
In every heart (I am)
Oh, where you are (I am)
The Lord of lords (I am)
The King of Kings (I am)
The Holy lamb (I am)
Above all things

[Chorus]

Yes, I am almighty God your father
The risen son of man
The healer of the broken
And when you cry
I am your savior and redeemer
Who bore the sins of man
The author and perfecter
Beginning and the end
I am

I am the Lord, I’m the Almighty God
I am the One for when nothing is too hard
I am the Shepherd and I am the Door
I am the Good news to the bound and the poor

I am, I am, I am, I am

I am the righteous One and I am the Lamb
I am the Ram in the bush for Abraham
I am the Ultimate Sacrifice for sin
I am your Redeemer, the Beginning and the End

I am, I am, I am, I am

I am Jehovah, and I am your King
I am Messiah, David’s Offspring
I am your High Priest, and I am the Christ
I am the Resurrection, I am the Life

I am, I am, I am, I am

I am the Bread, and I am the Wine,
I am your Future, so leave your past behind
I am the One in the midst of two or three
I am your Tabernacle, I am your Jubilee

I am, I am, I am, I am

I am the Bread, I am the Wine
And I am your Future, so leave your past behind
I am the One in the midst of two or three
I am your Tabernacle, I am your Jubilee

I am, I am, I am, I am

I am Hope, I am Peace, I am Joy, I am Rest
Oh I am your Comfort, and Relief from your stress
I am Strength, I am Faith, I am Love, I am Power
And I am your Freedom, this very hour

I am, I am, I am, I am

I am Hope, I am Peace, I am Joy, I am Rest
I am your Comfort, and Relief from your stress
I am Strength, I am Faith, I am Love, I am Power
I am your Freedom, this very hour

I am Hope, I am Peace, I am Joy, I am Rest
I am your Comfort, and Relief from your stress
I am Strength, I am Faith, I am Love, I am Power
I am your Freedom, this very hour

I am Hope, I am Peace, I am Joy, I am Rest
I am your Comfort, and Relief from your stress
I am Strength, I am Faith, I am Love, I am Power
I am your Freedom, this very hour

I am, I am, I am, I am

While this is much longer than usual,  I don’t think one can ever write too much about God because He is the I Am.
